Job summary

VSE is seeking an Aviation Technician I who will inspect, service, maintain, troubleshoot, repair and overhaul aircraft components while ensuring a safe work environment and adherence to all regulations.

The position runs on 1st shift, Monday through Thursday, 6:30am to 5:00pm. Candidates should have an A&P certification (or equivalent) and 4+ years of relevant experience, with proficiency in reading schematics and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Technical degree or aeronotics credential with A&P certification or equivalent.
• 4+ years of relevant/technical work experience OR 3 additional years in lieu of degree.
• Ability to teardown, inspect, assemble, test and overhaul aircraft fuel/pneumatic components.
• Must read and interpret schematics and drawings.
• Must be computer literate and proficient with MS Office programs.
• Willing to work additional hours when required.
• Ability to prioritize and work without close supervision.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, inspect, modify and service aircraft fuel/pneumatic equipment.
• Perform and document work per manuals and regulations as required.
• Maintain all shop calibrated tools in satisfactory condition.
• Ensure all work complies with approved data and regulatory standards.
• Read and interpret schematics and drawings for assigned tasks.
• Follow safety, environmental health and company policies.
• Record information and complete work assignments per inspection procedures.
• Collaborate with shop lead on tasks.
