Job summary

Madisonville Community College is seeking an Aviation Maintenance Technology Instructor to provide high‑quality instruction in airframe and powerplant subjects on an on‑site basis. The role emphasizes hands‑on training, safety, and alignment with FAA standards.

The instructor will develop relevant curriculum, assess student progress, mentor learners, and stay current with industry and regulatory changes to ensure job‑ready graduates.

Qualifications

• FAA A&P certificate with minimum 3 years’ GA maintenance experience.
• Strong knowledge of airframe and powerplant systems, maintenance practices and safety.
• Thorough working knowledge of Title 14 CFR.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging lectures, demonstrations, and hands-on training for A&P students.
• Develop curriculum aligned with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Foster interactive learning and assess student performance with constructive feedback.
• Mentor students and support academic and professional development.
• Update instructional materials and teaching methods to stay current with industry changes.
• Support recruitment efforts through informational sessions and events.
