Job summary

Amentum is seeking an experienced CBP Aircraft Mechanic for Aguadilla, Puerto Rico. The role involves maintenance, inspection, and servicing of aircraft within a DoD/CBP environment, adhering to applicable manuals and regulations.

You will perform daily inspections, troubleshoot aircraft systems, and may participate in in-flight checks. Expect occasional travel and to provide your own hand tools where required.

Qualifications

• Must possess and maintain a valid State driver's license.
• Must be willing to subject themselves to random drug tests.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a CBP Background Investigation Suitability clearance. US Citizenship required to obtain clearance.
• High school graduate or have an equivalency certificate.
• Must possess a valid FAA Mechanic certificate with Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) ratings.
• Competent in repair and maintenance of fixed-wing and rotary-wing aircraft and systems.
• Able to read, write, understand, and communicate in English.
• Ability to interpret technical data from schematics and manuals.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, preventive maintenance, inspection, repair, and modification of aircraft per 14 CFR and DoD data.
• Perform daily and turnaround inspections on all assigned aircraft.
• Inspect, perform corrosion control, troubleshooting and fault isolation on aircraft systems.
• May fly on Government aircraft for relocation or in-flight tests when needed.
• May travel to temporary duty sites within and outside the United States.
• Furnish own hand tools; customer provides necessary special tools.
• Perform other duties to support the mission.
• Travel periodically in support of customers’ mission.
