Job summary

Pratt & Whitney is seeking an Assembly Technician C for the 1st shift (onsite) at our East Hartford, CT facility. You will build and disassemble engines, follow precise instructions, and use specialized tools to confirm dimensions and quality.

The role requires a HS Diploma or equivalent training with an A&P license or equivalent experience; aerospace mechanic background is preferred. This is a full-time onsite position with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent trades training achieving A&P license or equivalent experience.
• 1–3 years of aerospace mechanic or A&P background preferred.
• Internal candidates may receive priority per bargaining terms.

Responsibilities

• Build and/or disassemble production, experimental and overhaul gas turbine engines, modules and subassemblies.
• Follow work instructions, blueprints and engineering bulletins to ensure compliance with requirements.
• Set up and use hand, power and specialized tooling to meet process goals.
• Perform static balance operations on rotating engine parts per procedures.
• Use precision gauges to verify assembly dimensions and proper installation.
