Job summary

AlphaX is seeking an experienced Architecture & Engineering (A/E) Project Manager to lead projects from planning through design development, permitting, and construction administration. You will manage budgets, schedules, and client relationships while guiding architects, engineers, and consultants to deliver high-quality results.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of project management experience in architecture, engineering, or multidisciplinary design.
• Direct PM experience within an architecture/engineering or multidisciplinary design firm.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams of architects, engineers, consultants, and contractors.
• Strong understanding of design development, permitting, construction documentation, and construction administration.
• Proven ability to manage project scope, budgets, schedules, deliverables, risks, and client relationships.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture and engineering projects through design development, permitting, construction support, and final delivery.
• Establish project scopes, fees, schedules, and deliverables with clients and technical teams.
• Direct architects, engineers, consultants, and external partners, defining responsibilities and deadlines.
• Monitor milestones, design submissions, approvals, and progress against plans.
• Identify variances and risks; implement corrective actions as needed.
• Collaborate with technical teams to resolve design challenges and permitting issues.
• Coordinate activities across design, regulatory approvals, bidding, and construction phases.
• Lead design reviews, client presentations, and construction-phase coordination meetings.
• Manage client relationships; provide regular updates and address expectations throughout the project.
• Ensure deliverables meet contractual requirements, codes, and client objectives.
• Support construction administration with contractor coordination and field issue resolution.
• Maintain accurate project documentation (minutes, budgets, schedules, change records).
• Report project performance, financials, risks, and schedule developments to leadership.
