Job summary

A&E + SMA Design in Billings, MT seeks an Architectural Project Manager to lead multiple projects, mentor teams, and ensure high-quality delivery. The role blends design excellence with technical rigor and strong client leadership across commercial, institutional, and mixed-use projects.

Ideal candidates have a architecture degree, licensure preferred, 5+ years PM experience, and proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam. Excellent communication and time-management skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture; Master’s degree preferred.
• Architectural licensure preferred.
• 5+ years of professional experience with project management leadership.
• Experience managing complex commercial, institutional, public, or mixed-use projects.
• Proven ability from concept through construction administration.
• Advanced proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam.
• Strong organizational, scheduling, and budget skills.
• Ability to mentor staff and lead multi-disciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for multiple architectural projects concurrently.
• Coordinate internal teams, consultants, and clients across phases.
• Develop, manage, and monitor work plans, schedules, and fees.
• Prepare presentation materials for client and agency meetings.
• Document meetings and track budgets, schedules, and workflow.
• Attend site meetings and respond to RFIs during construction administration.
• Ensure compliance with codes and standards and promote design excellence.
