Job summary

FXCollaborative is seeking a highly skilled Project Accountant to join our finance team in New York. You will oversee all aspects of project accounting, billing, revenue recognition, and cost tracking across a range of current projects in the A/E sector.

Responsibilities include monthly invoicing for diverse contracts (including complex agency projects), setup of new projects, budget monitoring, subconsultant invoicing, accounts receivable, and financial reporting to project managers and senior

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in all aspects of Project Accounting.
• Experience in Architecture, Interior Design and Engineering industries.
• Proficiency with Deltek Vantagepoint is required.
• Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and issue monthly invoices for all projects, including complex agency projects.
• Manage billing for complex contracts, including progress billing, retainage, and change orders.
• Ensure accurate revenue recognition per project and company policy.
• Track and allocate project costs to align with budgets.
• Record cash receipts and notify staff of payments.
• Manage accounts receivable and follow up on overdue payments.
• Set up new projects with billing terms and cost structures.
• Maintain and monitor project budgets throughout the lifecycle.
• Review subconsultant invoices and ensure timely payment.
• Coordinate with Project Managers on financial matters and billing requests.
• Prepare monthly financial reports for PMs and Senior Management.
• Assist with project audits and financial statements.
