Job summary

Dungarvin in Tacoma, WA, seeks a Behavior Clinician I for the Adapted Dialectical Behavior Therapy program. You will support adults with developmental disabilities and co-occurring mental health needs, delivering 1:1 and group sessions under supervision.

Responsibilities include planning activities, using Positive Behavior Support, coordinating with families and outside providers, and training direct care staff.

Qualifications

• Must have experience with individuals with mental health diagnoses.
• HS Diploma or GED required; BA/AA in related field preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with ability to use personal vehicle.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and OneDrive.

Responsibilities

• Lead 1:1 and large group therapy sessions with up to 10 clients.
• Use Positive Behavior Support to help individuals meet goals and improve quality of life.
• Plan and attend social events in the community for individuals in the program.
• Provide training and support to direct care staff and operations team.
• Work with in-home staff to support individuals in behavioral crises.
• Rotational on-call to provide crisis management support as needed by phone.
• Write reports and case notes using Therap, Microsoft Excel, and OneDrive.
• Communicate and coordinate with outside providers and families.
