Dungarvin in Tacoma, WA, seeks a Behavior Clinician I for the Adapted Dialectical Behavior Therapy program. You will support adults with developmental disabilities and co-occurring mental health needs, delivering 1:1 and group sessions under supervision.
Responsibilities include planning activities, using Positive Behavior Support, coordinating with families and outside providers, and training direct care staff.

The Clinician I will serve as a member of the Adapted Dialectical Behavior Therapy (A-DBT) team, dedicated to addressing the unique needs of individuals with developmental disabilities and comorbid mental health conditions. Clients receiving services are adults with multiple diagnoses and typically present with significant challenging behaviors.Individuals served may also be a part of the Community Protection Program with criminal histories. The Clinician I will operate under the direction of Clinicians II/III and/or the Tacoma Clinical Services Manager to implement programs, education, and skills training and coaching as defined by the individual’s support plan.
Supportindividuals in the A-DBT program through leading both 1:1 andlarge group therapy sessions,with a caseload of up to 10 clients.
Use principles of Positive Behavior Support to help individuals meet their goals and improve their quality of life
Planand attendsocial events out in the community for individuals in the program
Provide training and supportto direct care staff and members of the operations team.
Workdirectly with in home staff to provide support to individuals in behavioral crises.
Workrotational on call to provide crisis management support as needed by phone.
Writereports and case notesusing Therap, Microsoft Excel, and OneDrive.
Communicateand coordinatewith outside providers (therapists, etc.)and clients' families.
