Job summary

RTX in Indianapolis, IN is seeking software engineers to join our development team working on Battle Management, C2, and sensor systems for aerospace and defense. Join cross-functional, agile teams delivering complex software for critical systems in a secure environment.

Candidates should have a STEM master's, OO languages (C++, Java, C#), experience with AI tooling, modular design, and strong problem solving.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) or similar technical degree.
• Experience designing and programming with C++, Java, C# or other object-oriented language.
• Experience developing and debugging software using OO programming with data structures and algorithms.
• Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, memory management, and multithreaded apps.
• Experience utilizing Generative AI tools or ML-assisted tech to improve workflows.
• Experience with open systems architecture (OSA) and modular design principles.

Responsibilities

• Participate in cross-discipline integrated product teams and use agile methods to develop, test, and integrate complex software for aerospace/defense.
• Contribute as a software team member and possibly lead a small software team.
• Collaborate to resolve technical deficiencies and ensure robust engineering practices.
