Job summary

Cognizant is seeking an Account Director for Aerospace & Defense to drive revenue growth and manage large, cross-functional deals in the US market.

The role requires deep A&D domain knowledge, government regulatory experience (ITAR, NIST, CMMC), and proficiency in leading end-to-end sales cycles, including negotiations and renewals. You will collaborate with delivery and capability teams to deliver client value and strategic outcomes.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Aerospace and Defense domain with 7+ years’ experience.
• Regulated industry experience in A&D including ITAR, NIST and CMMC controls.
• Experience with FedRAMP and government cloud environments (AWS GovCloud / GCC).
• Demonstrated ability to manage full sales lifecycle from opportunity to contracting and close.
• Strong communication skills and ability to influence senior client stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Forge relationships with VP/CXO decision makers across IT and business in A&D.
• Map client organizations and develop sales strategies for new opportunities.
• Lead multi-service line deals and drive revenue growth and pipelines.
• Negotiate contracts and terms; manage outsourcing discussions and renewals.
• Provide proactive solutions leveraging Cognizant capabilities and industry insights.
• Track industry trends and advise on thought leadership to clients.
