Job summary

Elk River Independent School District 728 is seeking a qualified individual to serve as the 9th Grade Softball Coach for the Zimmerman Middle/High School site. This 1.0 FTE stipend position focuses on leadership, athletic development, and positive student engagement.

The coach will plan practices and games, lead and mentor participants, ensure safety, and uphold district athletic policies. Collaboration with staff and families is expected.

Responsibilities

• Prepare successful practice/rehearsals and game/performance plans.
• Provide leadership and guidance to staff.
• Encourage student participation and establish rapport.
• Motivate participants/athletes to achieve maximum potential.
• Maintain equipment and uniforms.
• Supervise all areas of participation including gyms, fields, arenas, theater, locker or dressing rooms, buses, etc.
• Work collaboratively with staff, Activities Director, families and community resources.
• Maintains compliance with all rules and regulations of the MSHSL.
• Complies with and supports all school district regulations and policies.
• Develops a program specific handbook.
