Job summary

IDEA Public Schools is seeking an on-site IDEA College Prep Teacher in Cincinnati, OH, to drive student mastery of academics and social skills essential for college success. You will set ambitious goals, track data, and craft daily lesson plans while advancing college-credit opportunities through dual enrollment, AP, or IB courses.

The role offers a starting salary of $51,500 with eligible stipends of $500–$4,000 based on credentials and campus leadership, plus a robust benefits package

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• K-12 classroom experience strongly preferred.
• State certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Implement state standards and IDEA curricula and assessments to meet ambitious academic expectations.
• Deliver content and grade level curriculum, core content objectives, and texts.
• Submit weekly lesson plans two weeks in advance for feedback.
• Track each student’s progress and adjust lesson plans; update gradebook weekly.
• Communicate students’ progress with students and families weekly.
• Facilitate and utilize technology to improve student achievement and manage tasks.
• Establish a clear behavior management system aligned to campus initiatives.
• Foster a school-wide culture of productive learning for every student.
• Build trusting relationships with students and families from the community.
• Provide tutoring sessions as needed and participate in school-wide duties.
