Job summary

First Choice Services is seeking a Shift Supervisor to oversee the 988 Lifeline staff in Charleston, WV. You will lead weekend, evening and overnight crisis counselors and ensure high-quality call/text/chat support while coordinating with program leadership.

The role requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and a commitment to privacy under HIPAA. Training, scheduling, and staff support duties may be included to maintain service excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate’s degree preferred; High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Proven leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to multi-task and handle sensitive information with discretion.
• Experience in crisis or mental health support contexts is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Leads weekend, evening and overnight crisis counseling staff.
• Monitors 988 call, text and chat interactions and performs audits as needed.
• Provides shift debriefing and reporting.
• Coordinates with Program Directors and Coordinators for staff development.
• Manages scheduling, attendance, and performance issues as needed.
• Upholds HIPAA privacy and confidentiality standards.
• Fosters a positive, collaborative work environment.
