Job summary

Community Care Alliance seeks a dedicated 988 Call Center Counselor for the SECOND SHIFT in East Providence, RI. This full-time role supports the 988 Crisis Call Center's mission to assist Rhode Islanders in mental health and substance use crises via calls, chats, and texts.

Responsibilities include empathetic risk assessment, crisis intervention coordination, documentation, and collaboration with BH Link clinical teams and mobile crisis units.

Qualifications

• 1-3 Years in the human services industry preferred.
• Fluency in multiple languages preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answer crisis calls, chats, and texts with empathy and professionalism.
• Routinely assess risk of suicidality and other safety concerns.
• Coordinate wellness checks or mobile crisis dispatch as needed.
• Document all interactions and data in a timely fashion.
• Collaborate with BH Link clinical staff and 911/municipal resources.
