Hamilton County Communications Center in Cincinnati, OH is hiring a 911 Operator-Communications Officer. You will be the first contact for medical, fire, and police emergencies, making quick, calm decisions and relaying critical information to responders.

The role includes 10-12 week training, eligibility for RCIC/LEADS/NCIC/CPR/APCO certifications, and a comprehensive benefits package. Work involves shift rotations, paid training, and opportunities to serve the community.

Qualifications

• Experience with regulatory requirements, communications equipment and sound judgment under stress.
• Typing proficiency and clear hearing/diction.
• Must obtain RCIC, LEADS, NCIC, CPR and APCO BASIC/EMD certifications.

Responsabilités

• Dispatches police, fire and rescue to emergencies and coordinates on-site safety operations.
• Receives calls, analyzes incidents and decides appropriate response, provides pre-arrival instructions.
• Operates terminals to disseminate critical data and track unit status in the field.
• Maintains confidentiality and updates records in police data systems.
• Keeps RCIC, NCIC, LEADS, CPR, APCO BASIC and EMD certifications current.
