City of Salina Police Department seeks a 911 Dispatcher in Salina, Kansas. You will dispatch police, fire, and medical services, monitor radios, and handle emergency and non-emergency calls with real-time decision making.

Training is provided by seasoned professionals to prepare you for critical, high-pressure situations. Starting pay ranges from $22.20 to $23.31 per hour, with overtime differential after hours and additional pay for degrees or bilingual skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• In-service training program in communications related curriculum within 6 months from start date.

Responsibilities

• Dispatch police, sheriff, fire, and ambulance operations in the city and county.
• Monitor radio transmissions and provide support using a fixed two-way system.
• Receive emergency and non-emergency calls and dispatch appropriate responses.
• Enter data into a computerized database for storage and retrieval.
