Job summary

Under general supervision, the Communications Technician performs dispatch and other communication support for police, fire, EMS, and city public safety responders. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with the ability to obtain EMS Dispatch, CPR, Telecommunicator I (APCO), LEADS Basic Operator (ODPS), and FEMA NIMS certifications as conditions of employment.

Candidates must have reliable transportation for off-site trainings and must reside within Knox County or adjacent counties as
