Job summary

The Clinton County DES is seeking a full-time 9-1-1 Shift Supervisor to oversee dispatch operations and supervise dispatchers. You will ensure compliance with procedures and coordinate with the Training & Operations Coordinator and Director.

Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent and up to one year of dispatch experience, a valid driver's license, and must pass drug screening and background checks plus computer skills testing. Salary: $45,165 (Grade I).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and up to one year of dispatch experience.
• Valid driver's license, satisfactory pre-employment drug screen and background check, and completion of the computer skills testing.

Responsibilities

• Supervises 9-1-1 dispatchers, provides instruction, assigns and reviews work duties, maintains standards and recommends commendations.
• Manages and performs all 9-1-1 Communications Center dispatch operations and activities, ensuring SOP compliance and daily checklists.
• Mentors trainees as directed and enforces center security; conducts quality assurance reviews of calls.
