Job summary

Harrisburg Area Community College (HACC) is seeking a qualified instructor to provide academic instruction and student support in the Math & Computer Science department. The role includes governance participation and efforts to ensure quality and consistency in instruction.

The candidate will teach CS courses, contribute to curriculum maintenance, advise students, and participate in shared governance and applied college service activities.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science or related field with at least 20 CS credits.
• Willingness to teach day, evening, weekend, and on/off-campus classes.
• Compliance with PA Child Protective Service Laws.

Job Summary: Provides academic instruction and student academic support for the Math & Computer Science department. Performs tasks designed to ensure the quality and consistency of academic instruction including governance activities.

Minimum Qualifications:

A master’s degree in Computer Science, or a master’s degree in a related field with at least 20 credits in Computer Science, including coursework in algorithms, data structures, and software design/engineering.

Willingness to teach day, evening, weekend, and on or off-campus classes.

Hiring Range:No less than $65,000
