Job summary

Brown County Sheriff’s Office in Minnesota seeks a 9-1-1 Dispatcher to operate the county communications center. You will receive calls, dispatch emergency vehicles, and coordinate information via radio, telephone, and computer terminals.

Responsibilities include monitoring multiple frequencies, logging activities, assisting public inquiries, and maintaining reports. A rotating shift including holidays is required; candidates must have a high school diploma, and obtain required dispatcher

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma with 2+ years related experience preferred.
• Obtain required Dispatcher state licenses/certifications.

Responsibilities

• Operate 9-1-1 system, NCIC MINCIS, and in-house terminals.
• Receive and dispatch emergency calls and provide information to units.
• Log radio calls and complete initial reports and data entry.
