Highland Middle School in Mead School District (Spokane, WA) is hiring an Assistant 8th Grade Volleyball coach for the Fall 2026-27 season. Responsibilities include directing drills, supervising practices from 3:00 p.m.

to 6:00 p.m., and promoting sportsmanship and safety across the athletic program. The position requires First Aid/CPR certification, adherence to district policies, and the ability to work with students, parents, and staff.

Qualifications

• Must be 19 or older for Assistant Coach and 21 or older for Head Coach.
• Must have current First Aid/CPR certification or be able to acquire it by the start of the season.
• Understand the activity/sport, its safety practices, techniques, rules, and progression of skill development.

Responsabilités

• Instruct athletes regarding techniques, rules, and safety practices of the sport.
• Schedule and conduct practices (3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.).
• Supervise athletes during practices and games and ensure safety and conduct.
• Promote the interscholastic program and uphold district policies.
• Maintain documentation and communicate with parents and staff.
