Job summary

Mead School District is seeking an Anticipated 7th Grade Assistant Volleyball Coach-Leave Replacement at Northwood Middle School in Spokane for Fall 2026-27. The role includes coaching duties from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., supervising athletes, and coordinating practice plans and safety compliance.

The candidate should have First Aid/CPR, be 19 or older for assistant roles, and preferably hold a Type II Driver’s License. Salary is paid per contract with district benefits as outlined.

Qualifications

• Must be 19 or older for Assistant Coach.
• Must have current First Aid/CPR certification.
• Type II Driver’s License preferred.
• Understand the activity/sport, its safety practices, techniques, rules, and progression of skill development.

Responsibilities

• Instruct athletes regarding the techniques, rules, and safety practices of the sport.
• Schedule and conduct practices after school (3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.).
• Supervise athletes from the scheduled beginning of the practice or game until everyone is picked up.
• Promote the interscholastic program and uphold school values.
• Ensure required documentation and medical insurance forms are completed.
