Job summary

East Valley High School in Spokane Valley, WA is seeking a Varsity Assistant Volleyball Coach to support the program under the Athletic Director and Head Coach. The season follows the WIAA schedule; prior coaching experience is preferred. This position does not include a teaching assignment within the district.

Qualifications

• 5 years of coaching experience in the K-12 setting preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, motivational, teaching, and coaching skills.
• Ability to relate to and motivate student athletes of varying abilities and backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Teach the fundamentals of volleyball and develop player skills.
• Monitor scholastic eligibility and ensure safety, equipment, and facilities readiness.
• Build and sustain a successful program with community and district support.
• Coordinate practices and align with the athletic director and head coach during the season.
• Collaborate with staff and parents to uphold district policies and standards.
