Phoenix Tailings is seeking a Senior Strategic Initiatives Associate to lead cross-functional projects that drive measurable results. You will work with executives and leaders to define objectives, build the case for action, and drive practical plans to execution through structured ownership.

The ideal candidate has 4–7 years in consulting, corporate strategy, or scaling startups, with strong financial and operating analysis and excellent executive communication.

Qualifications

• 4–7 years of experience in consulting, corporate strategy, business operations, investment banking, or scaling startup.
• Ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives from definition through execution.
• Strong financial and operating analysis with actionable recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic initiatives from problem definition through implementation and handoff.
• Build business cases, operating models, and leadership-ready recommendations.
• Establish governance, milestones, metrics, and decision forums for complex work.
• Coordinate across manufacturing, commercial, supply chain, finance and other functions.
• Communicate progress and recommendations to executives in concise updates.
• Coach junior team members and improve analytics quality.

Who We Are Looking For:

We are seeking a Senior Strategic Initiatives Associate to lead complex projects that cut across Phoenix Tailings. Youwill work with executives and functional leaders to define the objective, build the case for action, establish a practicalplan, and drive execution through measurable results.

The ideal candidate brings structured problem solving and strong operating instincts. You can align teams with differentpriorities, make progress without perfect information, and create durable ownership when an initiative moves into afunction.

• Lead strategic initiatives from problem definition through implementation and handoff.
• Build business cases, operating models, and recommendations for senior leadership decisions.
• Establish project governance, milestones, metrics, and decision forums for complex work.
• Coordinate leaders across manufacturing, commercial, supply chain, finance, and other functions.
• Surface risks, resolve dependencies, and escal…?
• Communicate progress and recommendations to executives in concise written and verbal updates.
• Create repeatable processes and ownership models for work that becomes part of ongoing operations.
• Coach junior team members and improve the quality of shared analysis and project execution.
• A typical candidate will have 4 to 7 years of experience in consulting, corporate strategy, business operations,investment banking, or a scaling startup. We value demonstrated scope and results over a rigid tenure requirement.
• Experience owning complex projects that require coordination across several functions.
• Strong financial and operating analysis, with the ability to turn findings into a practical plan.
• Excellent executive communication and stakeholder management.
• Sound judgment about when to work through an issue and when to elevate it.
• A hands on approach and willingness to stay close to execution details.
• Experience in advanced manufacturing, industrial technology, critical materials, or climate related industries ishelpful.

This base salary range reflects our best estimate for this role. The final package may vary based on experience andqualifications and includes eligibility for a discretionary bonus and equity.

• Base Salary Range: $135,000 to $165,000
