Job summary

Phoenix Tailings is seeking a Senior Office of the CEO Associate in Massachusetts to act as an execution partner to the CEO on high-impact priorities. You will shape and drive work across functions, turning unclear questions into concrete plans and outcomes.

The role blends strategic judgment with operating discipline, requiring trusted influence across the company to push initiatives from inquiry to decision and action.

Qualifications

• 4 to 7 years of experience in consulting, investment banking, private equity, corporate strategy, or operating roles at scaling companies.
• Strong strategic and financial judgment with ability to form clear recommendations from incomplete information.
• Experience leading complex projects across functions without formal authority.
• Excellent executive communication and ability to adapt detail for different audiences.
• High discretion, low ego, and a track record of earning trust with senior leaders.
• Ability to move between analysis and hands-on execution as the work requires.
• Experience in industrial technology, advanced manufacturing, critical materials, or climate-related industries is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Own major CEO-sponsored initiatives from definition through execution.
• Develop recommendations on capital allocation, expansion, partnerships, new markets, and company priorities.
• Lead cross-functional teams through influence, clear decision making, and consistent follow-through.
• Represent the CEO's office in selected internal and external workstreams.
• Prepare and pressure test materials for board meetings, investors, partners, customers, and executive decisions.
• Identify emerging issues and opportunities, define the required work, and move them toward resolution.
• Create operating plans, milestones, and accountability for initiatives that sit outside a single function.
• Coach junior team members and raise the quality of analysis and communication across shared projects.

Who We Are Looking For:

We are seeking a Senior Office of the CEO Associate to serve as an execution partner to the CEO on company definingpriorities. You will independently shape and lead work that crosses functional boundaries, often where the question isstill unclear and the path forward must be built.

The ideal candidate pairs strategic judgment with operating discipline. You can develop a point of view, earn trustacross the company, and drive a complex initiative from an initial question through a decision and into execution.

What We Offer

This base salary range reflects our best estimate for this role. The final package may vary based on experience andqualifications and includes eligibility for a discretionary bonus and equity.

Base Salary Range: $140,000 to $175,000
