Job summary

Phoenix Tailings is seeking a Senior Corporate Development Associate to lead strategic transactions, partnerships, and investments. You will develop theses, run financial modeling, and oversee diligence across multiple workstreams while coordinating with senior stakeholders.

The ideal candidate has 4–7 years in investment banking or related fields, excels at complex analysis, and can present to executives. Base salary is competitive with discretionary bonus and equity.

Qualifications

• 4–7 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, corporate development, transaction advisory or strategic finance.
• Advanced financial modeling, valuation, and transaction analysis skills.
• Experience leading material diligence or execution workstreams with senior stakeholders.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and test theses for acquisitions, investments, joint ventures, strategic partnerships, and other growth opportunities.
• Lead financial modeling, valuation, scenario analysis, and transaction recommendations.
• Run diligence across finance, legal, technical, commercial, and operating workstreams.
• Manage external advisers and maintain accountability for process, timing, and open issues.
• Prepare and present recommendations to executives and the board.
• Support negotiation strategy and lead key elements of documentation and closing.
• Build relationships with potential partners, targets, investors, and market participants.
• Define integration or partnership operating plans to carry transaction logic into execution.
• Coach junior team members and improve transaction analysis and process management.

Who We Are Looking For:

We are seeking a Senior Corporate Development Associate to lead the evaluation and execution of strategictransactions, partnerships, and investments. You will develop a point of view on where Phoenix Tailings should act, runcritical workstreams, and guide opportunities from thesis through closing.

The ideal candidate combines strong transaction judgment with curiosity about technology, markets, and operations.You can challenge assumptions, coordinate senior stakeholders, and maintain momentum through the detailed workrequired to complete a deal.

• A typical candidate will have 4 to 7 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, corporatedevelopment, transaction advisory, or strategic finance. We will consider candidates whose deal experiencedemonstrates comparable ownership.
• Advanced financial modeling, valuation, and transaction analysis skills.
• Experience leading material diligence or execution workstreams with senior stakeholders.
• Strong investment judgment and the ability to form a clear recommendation from imperfect information.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
• Discretion, attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing deadlines.
• Experience in critical materials, mining, industrial technology, advanced manufacturing, or climate relatedindustries is helpful.

This base salary range reflects our best estimate for this role. The final package may vary based on experience andqualifications and includes eligibility for a discretionary bonus and equity.

Base Salary Range: $140,000 to $180,000
