Job summary

IDEA Public Schools seeks dedicated teachers for IDEA Academy. You will plan and deliver rigorous instruction, use data to intervene and tailor lessons, and communicate student progress weekly.

The role emphasizes collaboration within the IDEA Team and commitment to college readiness for all scholars. You will contribute to a culture of high expectations with strong family engagement, ongoing professional development, and potential tutoring duties beyond standard hours.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor’s Degree and teaching certification.
• K-12 classroom experience strongly preferred.
• Reading Academies or TEA-aligned certification preferred (not required).

Responsibilities

• Implement state learning standards and IDEA curricula and assessments.
• Submit weekly lesson plans two weeks in advance for feedback.
• Assess student progress and adjust instruction to meet needs.
• Communicate progress with students and families weekly.
• Maintain behavior management aligned with campus initiatives.
• Provide tutoring sessions after school or on Saturdays as needed.
