Matchbook Learning is seeking a 6th Grade Math Teacher for Wendell Phillips School 63 in Indianapolis, IN. The role focuses on delivering Envision Math with fidelity, using data to inform instruction, and collaborating with instructional coaches to support multilingual learners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in math/science/engineering/quantitative field preferred
• Strong middle school math content knowledge
• Valid Indiana teaching license or enrolled in/willing to enroll in a state-approved transition-to-teaching program
• Growth mindset and openness to coaching and feedback
• Commitment to high expectations for all students, including students with high needs

Responsibilities

• Deliver instruction using Envision Math with fidelity — all materials provided
• Use Practice Buddy and MathXL data to inform daily and weekly instruction
• Participate in weekly/bi-weekly data cycles — know exactly where students are and what they need next
• Implement SIOP-aligned strategies to support Multilingual Learners in all math instruction
• Conduct student conferencing to build relationships and accountability
• Maintain a structured, high-expectation classroom with PBIS systems
• Actively participate in coaching cycles, walkthroughs, and professional development
• Communicate proactively with families about student progress
• Collaborate with flex teachers, instructional coaches, and school leadership to support student growth
