Job summary

DREAM in New York City seeks a dedicated Teacher to join our East Harlem and South Bronx schools. Build meaningful relationships, deliver a Common Core-aligned curriculum, and collaborate with grade teams, leadership, and student support to drive strong results.

You will analyze data, monitor progress, and plan lessons with a solutions-oriented mindset while maintaining high expectations and an inclusive classroom environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• New York State certification in subject area preferred.
• At least two years of teaching experience with record of improving student achievement preferred.
• Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with co-teacher to create a culture where all students can achieve at high levels.
• Implement a Common Core-aligned curriculum through backwards planning and documented lesson plans.
• Participate in grade team meetings, Student Support Meetings, IEP meetings and professional development.
• Track, monitor, and assume responsibility for the academic progress of all students.
• Analyze assessment data to inform instruction and communicate progress to families.
