Job summary

DREAM seeks an enthusiastic Teacher to build relationships with students and families, implement Common Core-aligned instruction, and use data to drive improvements. You will collaborate with grade teams, Student Support and leadership to foster a positive school culture and rigorous academics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• New York State certification in subject area preferred.
• At least two years of teaching experience with a record of improving student achievement preferred.
• Desire to make a difference in students, families, and community.
• Ability to receive and implement feedback.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Build meaningful relationships with students and families.
• Implement a Common Core-aligned curriculum and plan backwards.
• Participate in grade team, leadership, and student support meetings.
• Track academic progress and monitor student data.
• Analyze assessments and inform instruction.
• Maintain high expectations and inclusive classroom environment.
• Collaborate with service providers to analyze data and revise practices.
• Communicate scholar progress to families regularly.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
