Job summary

DREAM in Harlem/NYC is seeking a Teacher to build meaningful relationships with students, deliver a Common Core-aligned curriculum, and work with grade teams and student support to analyze data to drive instruction.

This is a temporary role from December 2026 to late April/May 2027, with salaries ranging from $75,000 to $100,000 per year and potential added compensation for Master's degrees and NYS Special Education certifications.

Qualifications

• Experience building relationships with students.
• Ability to implement a Common Core-aligned curriculum.
• Collaborative planning with grade, leadership, and support teams.

Responsibilities

• Work with co-teacher (as relevant) to create and foster a culture where all students can achieve at high levels.
• Implement a Common Core-aligned curriculum through backwards lesson planning and rubrics.
• Participate in meetings, collaborative planning, and professional development including a summer institute.
• Track and monitor the academic progress for all students in the classroom.
• Analyze assessment data to inform instruction.
• Set high expectations by building meaningful relationships.
• Collaborate with Student Culture Team and Student Support Team for individual plans.
• Maintain an inclusive classroom environment and adhere to behavior plans.
• Work with teams to analyze data and discuss scholars' progress with a solutions mindset.
• Communicate scholars' progress to families.
