Job summary

ERM is seeking a Process Safety Management (PSM) Specialist in West Deptford, NJ. This role is a full-time, fixed-term position for 6 months with renewal potential, supporting hazardous analyses and PSM program development for large global clients.

You will lead PHA activities, guide MOC processes, and collaborate with EHS, engineering, and operations to ensure safe, compliant project delivery. Prior pharma/chemical/manufacturing experience is preferred.

Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years of experience in process safety.
Experience with development of written PSM programs and PHA/HAZID/HAZOP.
Experience in pharmaceutical, chemical, or manufacturing industries.
Experience facilitating multidisciplinary workshops (HAZOP/LOPA).
Proficiency with risk analysis tools (PHA-Pro, BowTieXP) is an asset.

Responsibilities

Support Process Hazard Analyses (PHA) including HAZID, HAZOP, LOPA, and What-If reviews, aligning with regulatory requirements.
Provide technical guidance on PSM implementation, gap assessments, and continuous improvements.
Develop and maintain process safety programs, procedures, and risk registers with actionable mitigation plans.
Advise on MOC processes and support operational readiness and MI reviews.
Collaborate with EHS, engineering, and operations to apply process safety principles across projects.
