Qualifications

• Degree in electrical or computer engineering with 4+ years in mobile telecoms, or 8+ years experience in lieu of degree.
• Experience with virtual machines and containerization for deployments and security analysis.
• Experience with DSP (GNU Radio or Matlab) and Software Defined Radio.
• Experience with radio test equipment and RF hardware.
• Knowledge of layers 1–3 telecom protocols and air interface specifications.
• Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a team of researchers, developers, and telecom experts on 5G projects.
• Deploy and maintain telecom lab environments for testing and development.
• Troubleshoot UE network connection issues via cellular logs and Wireshark/QXDM.
• Configure and troubleshoot wireless systems using RF hardware and Wireshark to diagnose layers 1–3 issues.
• Perform vulnerability research, generate reports, and contribute to security design solutions.
• Apply cybersecurity frameworks to consult with team members, clients, and leadership.
• Assist in reviewing telecommunication call flows and RF captures for infrastructure.
