Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton in the United States is seeking an experienced RF Systems Engineer to lead the design, integration, and testing of advanced RF hardware and software systems for mission-critical programs.

You will mentor junior engineers, collaborate with government clients, and apply rigorous system-level thinking across RF collection, geolocation, and EW domains while maintaining security clearances.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in RF engineering and systems engineering focused on design, development, integration, and testing of RF hardware and software systems.
• Experience with RF simulation platforms such as Ansys STK, HFSS, FEKO, or MATLAB, link budget and link analysis, RF HW designs, and DSP algorithms.
• Experience leading Preliminary Design Reviews (PDRs) and Critical Design Reviews (CDRs), test readiness reviews, and final acceptance test reviews.
• Experience performing trade studies or analysis of alternatives.
• Experience creating marketing whitepapers, proposal technical volume materials, and project technical reports.
• Knowledge of engineering documentation processes, including creating systems requirements documents and test plans.
• Ability to present technical solutions clearly to stakeholders.
• TS/SCI clearance
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain system-level requirements for RF collection, geolocation, DFM, and special communications systems.
• Conduct trade studies and analyses to evaluate design alternatives, performance margins, and technical feasibility.
• Perform advanced RF design modeling using EM/RF tools to optimize performance and signal integrity.
• Lead concept development, system architecture, and detailed design of integrated RF systems with SDR and DSP layers.
• Drive integration, testing, and debugging of RF systems across hardware, firmware, and operating systems.
• Author a test plan and lead system validation and verification of requirements.
• Serve as the primary technical interface for multidisciplinary teams and government clients, mentoring junior engineers.
• Support risk identification, mitigation planning, and technical performance measurement throughout the program lifecycle.
