Job Description
Contract: 3 months
- Join our client in a game-changing role as theTransportation Coordinatorforour Lakeland campus which includes 4 different facilities.
- Inthis high-impact position, you’ll oversee all key transportation tasks forLakeland campus and work closely with our third-party logistics (3PL) partnerSaddle Creek Logistics. You’ll be at the forefront of launching transportationscheduling for these sites, all while ensuring operational excellence from dayone.
KeyResponsibilities:
- Asthe Warehouse Transportation Coordinator, you’ll play a critical role indriving operational excellence, team development, and strategic 3PLpartnerships while supporting all aspects of the Inbound/Outbound DockSchedule. Your responsibilities will include:
Leadership& Team Development
- Leadcommunication with all transport carriers, utilizing high level planning andperformance management.
- Fostera culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Solveday-to-day transportation challenges and achieving long-term goals withscheduling.
3PL& Operational Excellence
- Partnerwith 3PL on dock scheduling, implementation of the dock schedule, and executionof the dock schedule.
- Driveimprovements in dock performance by providing a strategic dock schedule.
Inventory& Process Management
- LeveragePGT and Spotlight Optimization tools to enhance scheduling and productavailability.
- Maintaincompliance with regulatory standards and corporate policies, including safety,transportation, accounting, and purchasing.
CustomerService & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Ensureon-time delivery aligned with Requested/Scheduled Arrival Dates.
- Buildstrong relationships across the PBC bottlers, Co-Packers, Repacker, PBNA/PFNACOE’s, and MFG.
- Collaboratecross-functionally to resolve operational issues and deliver exceptionalcustomer service.
WhatYou’ll Do:
- Overseeall transportation responsibilities for our Lakeland Campus facilities.
- RouteOrders daily in compliance with the transportation route guide; ensuring timelyexecution to meet the requested ship date and secure carrier capacity ahead ofthe competition.
- Trackcarrier performance and troubleshoot any loads that may be at risk of missingrequested arrival date.
- Ensureall new orders comply with company guidelines on weight and method ofshipment.
- Workwith carriers to schedule all assigned outbound and inbound shipments to ourfacility.
- Scheduleappointments on all loads; working with the campus manager and third-partyfacility manager on dock capacity scheduling.
- Workwith all carriers on daily execution.
- Workwith on-site Transportation to deliver daily and weekly measurables.
- Workwith COE (center of excellence), and the service team on scheduling issues.
- Workwith COE, Warehouse, and Transportation on loads not scheduled by end ofperiod.
- Maintainreason code input within SAP for open order status reporting.
- Reviewprevious day’s dock schedule to ensure all orders are shipped, if not ensuretimely reschedule.
- Collaboratewith the shipping office regarding specific shipment requirements.
- Accountablefor Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) compliance with the Overdue Mill Transit ReceiptsReport and Shipment Status Report.
- Ownershipof daily, weekly, period service metrics as they relate to the role.
- Willbe cross trained to support other service center functions.
- Allother duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
- We’relooking for a results-driven leader with a passion for operations and innovation. The ideal candidate will have:
- Education : Bachelor’s degree in supply chainpreferred.
- Experience : One to two years of experience intransportation or logistical operations.
- Leadership : Proven ability to lead teams, influenceacross functions, and drive results in a fast-paced, startup-like environmentwhile leading with a mindset to exceed all Objectives/Metrics.
- Technical Skills : Familiarity with WMS, SAP, transportationsystems, and labor management systems.
- Strategic Thinking : Strong analytical and problem-solvingskills with a strategic mindset and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Communication : Excellent cross functional collaboration,team building skills, and the ability to influence in a matrixed environment.
- Flexibility: Comfortable working in unstructuredenvironments and making quick, informed decisions.
- Travel : Occasional travel required (less than 10%).
