Job summary

Iteris, a leader in smart mobility infrastructure, is seeking a 511 Operator to monitor feeds, verify information, and publish timely traveler updates across 511 channels. You will coordinate with partner agencies and Express Lanes staff to report incidents and events that affect traffic and transit, ensuring accuracy within performance timeframes.

The role requires a high school diploma, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and strong communication under pressure.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Proficient in standard software applications (Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook).
• Clear and effective oral and written communication is essential.
• Experience supervising others in high-stress environments.
• Ability and willingness to work rotating shifts.
• Willingness to serve as Essential Personnel and support augmented staff.

Responsibilities

• Monitor Partner Agency Traveler Information Sources and other feeds.
• Collect and disseminate timely, accurate traveler information (traffic and transit).
• Verify information accuracy before publishing via 511 channels.
• Coordinate with operations partners to obtain and report events impacting 511 operations.
• Support emergency operations and after-hours coverage for High Profile incidents.
• Perform periodic checks of 511 systems and CMS driving times.
