Job summary

BOOKER DIMAIO is seeking a Front-End Developer focused on accessibility to ensure RAD system interfaces are fully usable by individuals with disabilities. The role requires a Top Secret/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph and a hybrid schedule with up to 3 days remote per week in Annapolis Junction, MD.

You will collaborate with an Agile team of software developers, system engineers, and product owners to build accessible, compliant UIs, perform testing with JAWS, and contribute to CI/CD

Qualifications

• Proven experience front-end development with modern JavaScript frameworks (Vue preferred).
• Hands-on testing with JAWS and knowledge of assistive technologies.
• Strong knowledge of Section 508, WCAG 2.1/2.2, ARIA practices.

Responsibilities

• Accessible Front-End Development conforming to Section 508 and WCAG AA standards.
• 508 testing and remediation using screen readers and keyboard navigation.
• Audit and documentation of accessibility findings and test reports.
• Collaborate with UX/UI, developers, and product owners early in design to bake accessibility in by design.
• Integrate automated accessibility testing tools into CI/CD pipelines (axe-core, Pa11y, Lighthouse).
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and communicate accessibility trade-offs to stakeholders.
