Job summary

Booker DiMaio, LLC seeks a Front-End Developer focused on accessibility to ensure federal RAD system interfaces are fully usable by individuals with disabilities. The role blends front-end engineering with hands-on accessibility testing in a cross-functional Agile team, with emphasis on Section 508, WCAG, and ARIA compliance.

The position offers a hybrid schedule: up to 3 days remote and 2 days onsite in Annapolis Junction, MD, and requires an active Top Secret/SCI clearance with a Full Scope

Qualifications

• Experience in front-end development with modern JS frameworks (Vue preferred).
• Hands-on testing with JAWS and familiarity with assistive tech.
• Strong knowledge of Section 508, WCAG 2.1/2.2 AA, and ARIA.
• Experience with semantic HTML, accessible forms, keyboard navigation.
• Experience with accessibility tooling: axe DevTools, WAVE, Pa11y, Lighthouse.
• Experience with Git and Agile tools like Jira/Confluence.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain accessible front-end components that meet Section 508 and WCAG AA.
• Perform accessibility testing, identify issues, and remediate for keyboard, ARIA, color contrast, and structure.
• Conduct manual and automated audits and produce test reports for agency compliance.
• Collaborate with UX/UI, developers, and product owners to bake accessibility in by design.
• Integrate automated accessibility tests (axe-core, Pa11y, Lighthouse) into CI/CD.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and communicate accessibility tradeoffs to stakeholders.
