Job summary

Ocean House Collection is seeking a diligent Steward at Weekapaug Inn to support the culinary team and uphold our high cleanliness standards. You will handle dishwashing, stock kitchen areas, and ensure all walk-in coolers and staff spaces stay organized and sanitary.

The role requires strong communication, English fluency, attention to detail, and the ability to work calmly under pressure on a busy 24/7 operation. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Fluency in English both verbally and in writing.
• High School degree or equivalent work experience.
• Remain calm and resolve problems using good judgement.

Responsibilities

• Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and/or pans using dishwashers or by hand.
• Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils in clean and orderly condition.
• Stock supplies such as utensils in serving stations, cupboards, trays, condiments, etc.
• Sweep and scrub floors.
• Sort and remove trash, placing it in designated pickup areas.
• Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
• Represent the Company with a positive attitude and professional presentation.
• Follow sustainability guidelines and practices related to the Company’s programs.
• Carry out other duties commensurate with the role.
