Job summary

Enjet Aero in Malden, MA is seeking a dedicated 5-Axis Laser Operator to produce aerospace parts by operating CNC 5-axis lasers, reading blueprints, and following Quality Management System procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Working knowledge of CO2 and fiber laser equipment, tooling, and processes.
• Knowledge of G&M codes.
• Attention to detail and ability to deal with complex part geometry.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and use various inspection equipment.
• Experience in sheet metal or machining environment a plus.
• Willing to train individuals that can run CNC equipment and have a knowledge of programming.

Responsibilities

• Perform tooling setup per work instructions.
• Load/unload parts onto fixtures and operate 5-axis laser machine.
• Inspect completed parts using micrometers, indicators, calipers, comparators, etc.
• Perform maintenance and cleaning of cutting equipment and work areas.
• Perform machine alignment procedures to ensure peak operating performance.
• Maintain quality standards through understanding of the Quality Management System.
• Develop and maintain effective working relationships with peers, supervisor, and other staff.
• Other duties as directed by supervisor.
