Job summary

Ace Precision in Wisconsin is seeking a driven Multi-Axis Laser Technician to join our aerospace manufacturing team. You will operate advanced laser systems across multiple axes to cut, trim, drill, and process precision components that support mission-critical programs.

You will read engineering sketches, set up and optimize CNC-like controls, and maintain strict AS9100/NADCAP quality. This role offers hands-on work with cutting-edge equipment in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with laser systems (fiber, YAG, CO2) or CNC background preferred.
• Comfort with CNC-type interfaces, G-code, or automated motion platforms.
• Ability to read engineering sketches and meet tight tolerances.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor multi-axis laser machines for cutting, drilling, marking, or trimming sheet metal components and finished goods.
• Read and interpret engineering sketches, job routers, and process control sheets to ensure accurate part processing.
• Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, indicators, height gauges, CMM reports, and visual inspection.
• Adjust machine parameters, align optics, load programs, and verify proper beam quality.
• Perform basic troubleshooting on lasers, motion systems, and fixturing.
• Maintain accurate production records and follow strict aerospace quality standards (AS9100, NADCAP).
• Work closely with engineering, quality, and production teams to solve problems and support continuous improvement.
