Job summary

Dimensional Services Group in Lapeer, MI is seeking an Experienced Laser Cutting Operator to set up, run, and monitor laser cutting equipment to produce parts per spec. You will collaborate across departments, train new team members, and uphold quality and safety standards on the shop floor.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED, Hi-Lo certification (or ability to obtain), at least 1 year of relevant manufacturing experience, and proficiency with Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Hi‑Lo certification (or ability to obtain upon hire).
• Minimum 1 year of relevant manufacturing experience.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Self-motivated; able to work with minimal supervision.
• Collaborative team player with solid communication habits.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor laser cutting equipment to produce parts to specification
• Maintain consistent communication across departments and production areas
• Delegate workload appropriately and support training of new team members
• Ensure quality and safety procedures are understood and followed at all times
• Complete corrective action documentation when deviations occur
• Operate a Hi‑Lo (HILO certification required; administered by UDM Health & Safety)
• Apply lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures and wear required PPE throughout all tasks
• Adhere to all company and safety policies; complete other duties as assigned
