Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. is seeking a Diesel Truck Mechanic in New York for safe operation, repair, and maintenance of company-owned heavy-duty diesel trucks and equipment. Starting pay ranges from $25 to $32 per hour, with a $5K sign-on bonus paid in two installments.

The role is scheduled 2pm–12:30am, Monday through Friday, with overtime after 40 hours. ASE testing is covered for certification bonuses. Benefits include PTO, tool allowance, boot reimbursement, health benefits after 60 days, and

Qualifications

• Perform daily inspections and diagnose issues on diesel refuse trucks.

Responsibilities

• Operate, repair, rebuild and maintain Company owned or leased heavy duty diesel trucks and equipment to ensure safe operation.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues to keep refuse trucks operating safely and reliably.
• Repair hydraulic systems, electrical systems, brakes, suspension, PTO systems, and other truck components.
• Perform preventative maintenance and complete repairs to ensure fleet vehicles are ready for daily operation.

Job description

Safely operate, repair, rebuild and perform maintenance on Company owned or leased heavy duty diesel trucks and equipment including rolling stock to ensure its ability to operate safely.

Starting Pay: $25 to $32 per hour. More pay available based on experience, certifications and skill level.

$5K Sign On Bonus-paid out in 2 installments. One payment of $2500 after 30 days the remaining $2500 after 90 days.

Shift: 2pm-1230am

M-F. Overtime after 40hrs worked.

We pay for ASE testing! Once you get your certs is .50 bump per T Series ASE.
