Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. seeks a skilled diesel mechanic to safely operate, repair, rebuild and maintain company trucks and equipment to keep operations running smoothly.

Starting Pay: $25 to $32 per hour with overtime after 40 hours. A $5K sign-on bonus is paid in two installments, plus benefits after 60 days and a 401K after 6 months. Shift is Mon-Fri, 2pm-12:30am.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining heavy duty diesel trucks and equipment.
• Ability to diagnose and repair hydraulic and mechanical systems.
• Safe operation and compliance with safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily inspections and repairs on diesel refuse trucks.
• Diagnose and repair brakes, suspension, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Complete preventative maintenance to keep fleet ready for operation.

Job description

Safely operate, repair, rebuild and perform maintenance on Company owned or leased heavy duty diesel trucks and equipment including rolling stock to ensure its ability to operate safely.

Starting Pay: $25 to $32 per hour. More pay available based on experience, certifications and skill level.

$5K Sign On Bonus-paid out in 2 installments. One payment of $2500 after 30 days the remaining $2500 after 90 days.

Shift: 2pm-1230am

M-F. Overtime after 40hrs worked.

We pay for ASE testing! Once you get your certs is .50 bump per T Series ASE.

• Perform daily inspections, diagnose issues, troubleshoot problems, and complete repairs on Diesel Refuse Trucks.
• Repair and troubleshoot hydraulic systems, electrical systems, brakes, suspension, PTO systems, and other truck components.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues to keep Refuse Trucks operating safely and reliably.
• Perform preventative maintenance and complete repairs to ensure fleet vehicles are ready for daily operation.
