Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. in North Carolina seeks a skilled technician to operate, repair, rebuild and maintain diesel refuse trucks and related equipment. You will diagnose hydraulic and electrical systems, perform inspections, and ensure daily readiness of the fleet.

A $5K sign-on bonus is offered, with overtime opportunities after standard hours and health benefits after the introductory period.

• Perform daily inspections, diagnose issues, troubleshoot problems, and complete repairs on Diesel Refuse Trucks.
• Repair and troubleshoot hydraulic systems, electrical systems, brakes, suspension, PTO systems, and other truck components.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues to keep Refuse Trucks operating safely and reliably.
• Perform preventative maintenance and complete repairs to ensure fleet vehicles are ready for daily operation.

Job Overview

Safely operate, repair, rebuild and perform maintenance on Company owned or leased heavy duty diesel trucks and equipment including rolling stock to ensure its ability to operate safely.

Compensation

Starting Pay: $25 to $32 per hour. More pay available based on experience, certifications and skill level.

$5K Sign On Bonus-paid out in 2 installments. One payment of $2500 after 30 days the remaining $2500 after 90 days.

Schedule

Shift: 2pm-1230am

M-F. Overtime after 40hrs worked.

Exam & Certification

We pay for ASE testing! Once you get your certs is .50 bump per T Series ASE.
