Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. in Myrtle Beach is seeking a Heavy Duty Diesel Truck Technician to safely operate, repair, rebuild and perform maintenance on Company owned or leased trucks and equipment, with a focus on keeping the fleet safe and ready for daily operations. Starting pay is $25 to $32 per hour, with additional pay for experience and ASE certifications.

A $5,000 sign-on bonus is paid in two installments. Shift is 2pm to 12:30am, Monday through Friday, with overtime after 40 hours.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily inspections, diagnose issues, troubleshoot problems, and complete repairs on Diesel Refuse Trucks.
• Repair and troubleshoot hydraulic systems, electrical systems, brakes, suspension, PTO systems, and other truck components.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues to keep Refuse Trucks operating safely and reliably.
• Perform preventative maintenance and complete repairs to ensure fleet vehicles are ready for daily operation.

Job description

Safely operate, repair, rebuild and perform maintenance on Company owned or leased heavy duty diesel trucks and equipment including rolling stock to ensure its ability to operate safely.

Starting Pay: $25 to $32 per hour. More pay available based on experience, certifications and skill level.

$5K Sign On Bonus-paid out in 2 installments. One payment of $2500 after 30 days the remaining $2500 after 90 days.

Shift: 2pm-1230am

M-F. Overtime after 40hrs worked.

We pay for ASE testing! Once you get your certs is .50 bump per T Series ASE.
