Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. is hiring for a heavy-duty diesel truck technician in Hampstead, NC. You will safely operate, repair, rebuild and maintain company-owned or leased trucks and equipment to keep our fleet performing safely.

The role offers starting pay of $25–$32 per hour, with additional pay for experience and ASE certifications. A $5K sign-on bonus is paid in two installments. Overtime after 40 hours and a comprehensive benefits package are included.

Qualifications

• Experience with diesel trucks and heavy-duty equipment.
• Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
• Perform inspections, preventative maintenance and repairs to keep fleet in operation.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily inspections, diagnose issues, troubleshoot problems, and complete repairs on Diesel Refuse Trucks.
• Repair and troubleshoot hydraulic systems, electrical systems, brakes, suspension, PTO systems, and other truck components.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues to keep Refuse Trucks operating safely and reliably.
• Perform preventative maintenance and complete repairs to ensure fleet vehicles are ready for daily operation.

Job description

Safely operate, repair, rebuild and perform maintenance on Company owned or leased heavy duty diesel trucks and equipment including rolling stock to ensure its ability to operate safely.

Starting Pay: $25 to $32 per hour. More pay available based on experience, certifications and skill level.

$5K Sign On Bonus-paid out in 2 installments. One payment of $2500 after 30 days the remaining $2500 after 90 days.

Shift: 2pm-1230am

M-F. Overtime after 40hrs worked.

We pay for ASE testing! Once you get your certs is .50 bump per T Series ASE.
