Job summary

Polymer Concepts Technologies, Inc. in Hanover, PA is seeking a 4th shift Machining Set Up and Operator for piston rings used in aerospace and industrial applications.

You will operate and set up machinery, read blueprints, measure parts with precision gauges, and ensure quality within tight tolerances. The role includes training new hires, maintaining records, and working a Friday night to Sunday shift with appropriate differential.

Qualifications

• HSD or GED required.
• Familiarity with blueprints and tolerances.
• High mechanical aptitude essential.
• Must meet ITAR export compliance requirements.
• Minimum two years manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety and quality policies and company rules.
• Work from prints, sketches, travelers, and verbal instructions.
• Set up and operate equipment to produce piston rings within tight tolerances.
• Use micrometers and gauges to measure width depths and wall face dimensions to tolerance as tight as .001" (and sometimes 0.0001").
• Adjust offsets and tooling, transport materials, and perform coating/wrapping as needed.
• Train new hires and maintain records and paperwork.
