Job summary

Polymer Concepts Technologies, Inc. in Hanover, PA seeks a 3rd shift Machining Set Up and Operator to set up and operate the Shaft Seal Department machinery for aerospace and industrial parts.

You will follow safety and quality policies, read prints, perform machine set ups, verify parts with precision tools, and maintain clean work areas. The role requires 1+ year in a shaft seal operator position, ability to train on other shifts, and a 11 PM–7 AM schedule.

Qualifications

• HSD or GED or equivalent.
• Minimum one year experience as Special Skilled General Operator Shaft Seal.
• Basic understanding of blueprints.
• Ability to train on shift other than home shift.

Responsibilities

• Follows all safety and quality policies.
• Follows company rules and policies.
• Communicates with supervision on a regular basis.
• Maintains clean and orderly work area and equipment.
• Works from prints, sketches, process sheets, travelers, and verbal instructions.
• Performs equipment set ups on minimum of five machines within department.
• Makes adjustments on equipment the operator is using.
• Transports materials; performs dipping, coating, and wrapping as needed.
• Uses precision measuring equipment to verify product is in spec.
• Performs lubrication of service to machines and equipment.
• Maintains records and paperwork legibly.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
